What do you recommend to whiten teeth? Any type of home remedies, tooth paste in particular?
Are there any incredients that should avoid or the ones that help to whitten teeth?
Sure you can use a mix of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Do not use the baking soda everyday as it may wear down some enamel and irritate your gums. As for the toothpaste believe it or not one of your best ones is going to be the cheapest also.....ultrabrite. Crest strips are also very good, just do not over use them they can hurt your enamel also. Another crazy tip i cant believe i am sharing because it is a secret i like to keep to myself is pencil erasers. Yep i said erasers, lol..... I have smoked since my teens, in my teens my mother was my dental hygienist so I had to get those stains off so she would not see the them!! Those hard to get stains even on the back of your lower teeth are no problem with some persistent erasing! As i said people are always telling me how white my teeth are, even my dentist, I smoke drink tea and coffee, use ultrabrite and an occasional crest strip. Just keep in mind sometimes your teeth may have just come darker, there are things you can do during childhood and certain illnesses you can have as a child that can affect the color of your adult teeth. Those things I am not sure you can really fix.
