Hamster has small eraser-sized tumor on the outside of his chest.?

We have the Hartz Play City for our hamster and he is constantly chewing on the bars which have some sort of paint on them. I'm concerned it is lead paint, which causes tumors. Does anyone know of any recall with Hartz products and/or if they contain lead paint? I know they are products made in China so I'm concerned that there are more than just toys that contain this lead paint on them. Please, any advice or recommendations would be helpful.

I would immediatly take him to the vets because one of my friends had a cage like that, and the hamster kept chewing on the paint and he ended up dying like a week after they got him..
