My teeth aren't that yellow but I've tried Crest and it didn't really so much

any dentists or dental hygienists?

I tried to use Opalescence 20% whitening gel with trays and now have bright white lines and spots on my teeth! It looks as though only certain spots of my teeth were making contact with the gel. I don't know what to do it looks awful! I used the boil and form mouth guard. Is there a better tray? Should I really fill it with a lot of gel? I was told to place pea sized dots around the inside of the tray.
