Having a hot tub is a wonderful thing. But do not forget that the hot tub should be cleaned regularly; cleaning hot tub must be done to avoid bacteria or germs. Here are some tools commonly used when cleaning hot tub:
1. Telepoles
You need this tool, because it is main cleaning instrument. Telepole made of aluminum and fiberglass. It's in various sizes, has a rounded edge or grip so your hands do not slip when cleaning your hot tub. The telepole equipped with a magnet that can retrieve metal objects such as hairpins or nails
2. Floor and Walls Brush
These tools are used to remove the dirt, stains and materials attached to the surface.Walls and floor brush can easily brush across every end because they have nylon bristles. The curved kinds are used in order to get to those corners that are very tight. These floor and wall brushes also come in different sizes. Don't use wire brushes that aren't made of stainless steel because the bristles snap while you are brushing. It will also leave stains when they rust on the plaster. These might cause further staining so you have to check whether they are rusty.
3. Hose and Vacuum Head
The dirt in the spa or hot tub can be sucked by vacuums. There are two procedures to use these equipments. The first one is to use water pressure from the hose and force the debris in the bag then removing and cleaning it with the vacuum. The second one is to suck the dirt and sent it into the filter.
4. Tile Soap and Tile Brush
The tiles can be cleaned by using tile soap and tile brush. Tile soaps are often mixed of muriatic acids. Tile brushes don't bend too much in order to allow more cleaning. These cut the stubborn oils and stains. This soap can remove oil and dirt on the surface of the hot tub. Then you can use a brush to get a cleaner result. Don't use other kinds of soap aside from one that is made specifically for cleaning the hot tub or spa. If you do, it might only sud and foam.
5. Pumice Stones
The scales from the hot tub tiles can be removed using these tools. The stains or other deposits from the surfaces also can be removed using these pumice stones. The surface isn't excessively scratched if you using these. These stones are specifically made for abrasive actions and they made from volcanic ash. These stones are attached to the brushes and telepoles in order to reach the surface easier and they are often sold in blocks. Pumice stones disintegrate so we suggest that you could do the scrubbing first, after that you do the vacuuming. Plastic foams or Styrofoam can be used as another alternative instead pumice stones because these do not scratch the fiberglass.
Manual Brushing is the Best
Manual brushing is the best way to clean your pool. The debris and the stains can be removed by this way. How clean you want your tub will depend on how rigorous you brush.
Spa, Hot Tub and Pool
Besides useful for cleaning the spa and hot tub, this method can also be used to clean the pool. Here are a few things you need to consider
1. When you clean the spa or hot tub do it very mindful including when you do the vacuuming because the spa is often made of fiberglass. If you are not careful enough, it will cause scratches on the surface of the spa.
2. Before you do the cleaning, you have to evaluate the water. Cleaning also takes your time, but if you do it correctly and regularly the results will be worth it. Your hot tub will be clean. You have to test the water in order for you determine whether you should treat it, drain it, or clean it.
