Is it best to use Dental floss first, and then brush your teeth afterwards?

I usually brush my teeth first, use dental floss throughout my teeth twice, and then brush my teeth again. Because I notice my breath still has some unpleasant smell after flossing. Is this normal?

Well my dentist tells me to first brush my teeth for about 2 mins.
then after i finish to take a long strip of floss and floss after! in and out on every tooth!
And it is okay for u to have an unpleasant smell because its food stuck in the middle of ur teeth which u cant take out with a toothbrush.
so that foods been there for like days,weeks, maybe even years! Who knows! lol!

So its fine!
and im going t0 my dentist today!
